Election Day and National Sandwich Day Deals 2026: Free Krispy Kreme, BOGO Subs and Lyft Rides on Nov. 3

Election Day and National Sandwich Day both land on Nov. 3, 2026. Here are the confirmed freebies and codes: a free Krispy Kreme doughnut for voters, Lyft’s VOTE26 ride discount, and BOGO deals at Jimmy John’s, Potbelly, Firehouse Subs and Subway.

Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026, is both Election Day and National Sandwich Day, so it’s a good day to eat cheaply. If you vote, Krispy Kreme will give you a free Original Glazed doughnut with no purchase needed, and Lyft is taking 50% off one ride to the polls (up to $10) with code VOTE26. For lunch, Jimmy John’s and Potbelly have buy-one-get-one sandwich deals, Firehouse Subs is giving away a free medium sub with a $15 order, and Subway’s BOGO footlong runs through Nov. 8.

Below is every deal we could confirm from at least one reliable news report, with the codes and fine print you need. Offers are usually at participating locations only and can sell out, so check your local store’s app before you go.

Election Day 2026 freebies for voters

Krispy Kreme: free Original Glazed doughnut

Krispy Kreme is giving one free Original Glazed doughnut on Nov. 3 to anyone wearing an “I Voted” sticker or who tells staff they voted. The Charlotte Observer reports it’s good at participating shops nationwide, one per customer, while supplies last, and no purchase is required.

Lyft: 50% off a ride to the polls

Lyft is offering 50% off one ride to a polling place or ballot drop box, capped at $10, with code VOTE26. According to Price Folk’s roundup of Election Day offers, you need to add the code in the app before you book, it works from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. local time, and it covers standard car rides, scooters and Lyft-run bikeshare (not Black or Black SUV). Tips aren’t discounted, codes are limited, and you don’t have to prove you voted.

Eat’n Park: free coffee

The Eat’n Park chain, with restaurants in Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia, is pouring a free cup of coffee for voters who show a voting stub, email or sticker, NewsNation reports.

National Sandwich Day 2026 deals

Most of these require ordering in the chain’s app or website, and several are limited to rewards members. Signing up is free but takes a few minutes, so do it before the lunch rush.

Jimmy John’s: buy one, get one free

JJ Rewards members get a free sandwich when they buy one on Nov. 3 using promo code SANDWICH online or in the app. AARP lists the eligible items as 8-inch Originals, Favorites, Toasted sandwiches (excluding brisket), Plain Slims, Little Johns and wraps. TODAY notes it’s single-use and can’t be combined with other offers.

Potbelly: free Original sandwich or wrap

Buy any Big or Original sandwich or wrap at Potbelly.com or in the Potbelly app on Nov. 3 and get an Original sandwich or wrap free with code BOGO. It’s limited to one redemption per person, according to Living On The Cheap.

Firehouse Subs: free medium sub with a $15 order

Spend $15 or more through the Firehouse Subs app or website on Nov. 3 and get a medium sub free. AARP says all subs qualify except the brisket subs, and rewards members need to order online or in the app.

Subway: BOGO footlongs through Nov. 8

Subway rewards members can get a free footlong when they buy one of equal or lesser value online or in the app. The deal started Oct. 27 and runs through Nov. 8 at participating locations. AARP reports it excludes the Fresh Fit, 5 Meat Italian and Big Hot Pastrami subs.

Jersey Mike’s: free delivery

Jersey Mike’s isn’t discounting the sandwiches themselves, but it’s waiving the delivery fee on orders of $5 or more placed online or in its app on Nov. 3, according to USA TODAY and AARP.

Capriotti’s: second sub half off

Capriotti’s rewards members can buy one sub and get a second for 50% off on Nov. 3, in the shop, online or in the app. AARP says every size is included.

Schlotzsky’s and McAlister’s: $5 sandwiches

Both deals end on Nov. 3, so today is the last chance. Schlotzsky’s rewards members can get medium sandwiches for $5 each (up to 10 per order) from Oct. 31 through Nov. 3. McAlister’s Deli rewards members can get a regular sandwich for $5 from Oct. 30 through Nov. 3, according to NerdWallet.

Tips to actually get the deal

  • Join the rewards program first. Jimmy John’s, Subway, Capriotti’s, Schlotzsky’s and McAlister’s deals are for members, and some codes only work in the app.
  • Order ahead. BOGO days bring big lunch crowds and slow apps. Placing your order mid-morning or after 2 p.m. can help.
  • Check participation. Franchise locations can opt out. If a code fails, the app’s store selector usually shows whether your shop is in.
  • Keep your sticker. Krispy Kreme and Eat’n Park accept an “I Voted” sticker as proof, so don’t toss it after you leave the polls.
  • Read the fine print. Most offers are one per person and exclude premium items like brisket.

FAQ

Is Election Day a holiday in 2026?

No, it isn’t a federal holiday. Post offices, banks and the stock market are open on Nov. 3. Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Michigan, Rhode Island and West Virginia close most state government offices, according to Price Folk.

Do I need to prove I voted to get a free Krispy Kreme doughnut?

No. You can show an “I Voted” sticker or just say you voted. No purchase is needed, and it’s one per person while supplies last.

Why is National Sandwich Day on Nov. 3?

It’s held every year on Nov. 3, which is traditionally tied to the birthday of John Montagu, the 4th Earl of Sandwich. In 2026 it happens to fall on Election Day. Don’t mix it up with National Fried Chicken Sandwich Day, which is Nov. 9, USA TODAY notes.

Which sandwich deal lasts the longest?

Subway’s BOGO footlong for rewards members, which runs through Nov. 8. Farmer Boys’ $5.99 Bacon Turkey Melt runs through Nov. 4, and Habit Burger’s daily giveaways also end Nov. 4.

Deals were confirmed from news reports published Nov. 2, 2026, and can change or end early. Check the chain’s app for your local store’s terms.
